I love the duality of working as a Digital Designer and Illustrator.
Design allows me to problem solve, test my knowledge of typography and colour theory, obsess over pixel perfection and work around limitations, while Illustration is all about freely expressing creativity. Watercolours have been my go-to for years. There's something extremely satisfying about working with paint that's so unpredictable. Sometimes an accident can lead to new discoveries and you can't plan everything in contrast to Design where everything should be planned ahead of time.
I've been working professionally since 2011. Before that, I was trained in Fine Arts and got my BA in Design / New Media.
Outside of work, I love travelling, musicals and creating OOAK dolls.
The work produced by Sara is of a high standard, displaying what we considered to be excellent creativity and fine craft, the illustrative brand design in particular has attracted praise from the team and our community more widely.
